You may not think that dogs can get sick because they have furry little coats, but that is not always the case. My dog, Chuck, got sick the other week, primarily because we went out for a jog in the rain. Chuck was sneezing every few seconds and acted like a lethargic toddler.
While the vet said he just caught a little cold, he also suggested that I purchase a couple of dog coats for Chuck. A little while afterwards, I bought him one and now when we decide to go off on a drizzling jog, I don’t have to worry about him getting sick.

It’s been getting colder out there lately. Sometimes I think twice about going out because the temperature is just freezing. I hate having to leave my dog home along when I do my errands.
My dog hates staying indoors all the time, so I got a dog jacket that will keep him warm on our trips outdoors. At least I’m sure he’s warm despite the cold weather. He looks so cute in his new coat, too.
Our dogs love their walks day and night, rain or shine. They can’t get too many. They also like to be in the middle of things. They sense when something is different, like when you get into your wacky Halloween costume to answer the door to trick or treaters and try to scare them. So be sure to plan ahead and get just the right costume so your pet can be in on the fun. I’ve picked up a dog costume that my Sadie will just love. She’ll look so cute in her red and black velour Dracula cape. I’ll scoop her up each time the doorbell rings, so she can hear the ooooh’s and ahhhh’s as everyone tells her how cute she looks. She’ll be warm, too, when we take a walk after all the candy is gone.
Imagine! An airline devoted exclusively to our precious dogs and cats. Instead of passenger seats, there is room for 50 pet crates that are checked on every 15 minutes by an attendant.
What is this airline? Based out of Delray Beach, Florida, Pet Airways and is set up to transport your dog and cat around the country in twin-engine Beech 1900 turboprops. The planes fly at 25,000 feet and free pets from temperature extremes, poor ventilation an often rough handling by cargo personnel on other airlines. Pet Airways operates out of Washington, New York, Chicago, Denver, and Los Angeles and is looking to expand to 25 additional cities over the next two years. One-way fares vary from $149.99 to $399.99 depending on the pet’s size and destination. Dress your pet for this special adventure in an adorable dog coat to keep it cozy on the journey.
Spring is the time for romance and weddings. We are all currently aware of cutting back on our lavish plans to save some money, but one area we simply can’t scrimp on is our pet’s festive attire at the ceremony. I recently attended my good friend’s wedding and she had her darling pooch decked out in the cutest dog tuxedo. He looked almost as handsome than the groom! Because he looked so cute, he provided us with many laughs. It was one of the most fun weddings I have ever been to!
If your dog is like mine, it doesn’t matter if it’s rain or shine. She just wants her daily walk to see what’s going on out there. She has a long coat, and I have been hesitant about taking her out in the pouring rain because I know I’ll need to dry her off in the house so she doesn’t shake all over my living room. My perfect solution? An adorable raincoat that fits my larger dog. I’m going to get her rainboots, too! Now we can walk every day throughout the winter season, and we’re both happy!
As we know, different dog breeds have different coats–some provide more warmth in the winter than others. For those dogs that do not have thick coats, it’ s good idea to invest in getting your pet a winter doggy jacket or sweater. Keep your pet warm, dry, and comfortable during winter outings so your pet will enjoy walking and playing outdoors. I have found a website that offers a great selection at very affordable prices.
Another issue in cold weather is that of your pet’s paws. The pads on your dog’s feet are often overlooked by many pet owners when it comes to pet health problems. Dogs’ pads and toes are susceptible to cold weather damage; snow and ice is frozen water and can cause frost burns and frostbite. Another important winter concern is dealing with the salt used to clear ice from your steps or walkways. Ice removal products, generally either a form of salt or a combination of chemical melting agents, can cause serious burns to your pet’s feet if not washed off with a warm washcloth. A great way to prevent problems is to provide your dog with boots to totally protect his paws. This solution will also save you time in the long run because you won’t have to wash four paws after each snowy outing.
Our pets love to be the center of attention at all times. What better way to have your dog stand out is to deck her out in this darling red velour Santa coat and hat I recently discovered on a great website. Well-made and well-priced, your dog will be smiling with all the ooooo’s and ahhhh’s directed her way! Merry Christmas!
Just because it’s wet and rainy out there doesn’t mean your pooch won’t want his daily walk. To be on the safe side, protect him from the cold, wet weather with a stylish rain coat and matching hat. It’s also a good idea to keep his paws warm and dry with rain boots. This will also save some puddles on your hardwood floor or carpet.
Making your pet as cute and adorable as it can be with clothing and accessories can be a fun and enjoyable task. Chances are your pup won’t mind being dressed up now and then. Choosing dog clothes is more about you than your pup; after all, they can’t even see colors, but they will enjoy the attention. Just ensure the clothing isn’t too confining for your dog.
