The new wedding trend for 2008 is the green wedding. It was a wedding trend in 2007, but it’s going to be even bigger in 2008. Many couples are realizing that if we don’t take care of our planet, who will? Your big day is full of opportunities to make ethical informed decisions as well as many opportunities for waste. If you’re an environmentalist, use recycled paper in your invitations, local and organic foods at your reception, and even biodegradable plates and forks. For your bouquet, consider using organic, pesticide-free flowers from your local flower shop. Each step can make a difference in this world!
FLOWERS: Wildflowers or daisies, tied in a loose bunch. The look is that you picked them yourself just before the wedding.
ATTIRE: Comfortable, natural clothing. There’s no need for attendants to match – coordinate the colors. You’ll probably want to focus on natural fabrics like cotton and linen. Polyester is very hard on the earth’s resources.

Hot weather is fast approaching, and we must take precautions to ensure the good health of our pets. Two of the most common scenarios involve dogs locked in cars or tied outside where they risk dehydration, overheating and entanglement. Cool water must be provided to ensure that an animal can breathe adequately. In hot weather, observe your dog frequently to see if its tongue is hanging out – a sure sign of dehydration. At many outdoor events I see dogs that look like they’re dancing because their feet are burning on the concrete. Dog boots are highly recommended if grass isn’t available. Portable water packs work great so dogs can carry their own water supply. Also, dog life vests provide an excellent way for your dog to enjoy a safe day at the lake or even swimming in a pool.
Bottom line to dog safety in hot weather is having water handy, constant observation, and never leaving a dog alone in a locked car.
We’ve all heard of The Cat in the Hat, Dr. Seuss’ most popular book. In fact, The Cat in the Hat is such a well-known, trans- generational icon that I don’t think I know anyone who hasn’t heard of it! Kids of all ages are big fans, but now I have my own little dog in a hat. This Lady in Red dog outfit is perfect for my little dog. She’s a real ham and loves all the attention!
I looked at more of your dog hats and I was really impressed with what I saw. In my experience everything you have is pretty high quality but the prices, wow. It’s not even twenty bucks for this ultra-swank hat for my dog. The range of sizes is great too, since I also have a larger dog – I can even dress them to match!
It’s spring time and summer is around the corner. But up here in the North it stays pretty chilly well into spring. So this little hoodie will come in handy. For a very affordable price I can get a great looking little sweatshirt for my pup. Comfy, high-quality and warm, this is a great value. And with the low-cost shipping it’s hard not to buy more!
I found so many dog clothes in your catalog that I had to get away from my computer. I love your products but I have to watch myself. I really love my pets and that means that I love to spoil them! You can see how I could quickly get myself into trouble shopping traditional brick and mortar retail. Not anymore!
Your dog will look its best when out and about in an original dog vest.
Beagles have a long history, but up until recently, there was only one famous beagle known to all – Snoopy. NOW, there’s another top Beagle for us to love – UNO! Uno was an underdog from a small Southern town who became a most popular champion last month and the first beagle ever to win best in show at the Westminster Kennel Club. But just a few weeks later it’s official: American’s top dog has retired.
Get your dog ready for spring with this matching dress and hat.
Things to Consider:
- Take your time and pick the right dog.
- It’s not recommended that you adopt two puppies from the same litter. They will bond more with each other than with you.
- Sex doesn’t matter as much as temperament.
- Age does matter. If you have an older, arthritic dog at home, do it a favor and don’t get a rambunctious puppy. It won’t make the older dog young again; it will just make the senior years more challenging.
- Let the two dogs be introduced to each other before you make any decisions on adoption. Try to find a dog trainer or canine behaviorist to come along to observe the interaction.
- Does one dog charge the other? Or does one dog try to chase the other dog? Don’t let it happen.
- Does one dog try to avoid eye contact? This is called shying away which is an indication of stress.
- If you are considering a smaller breed make sure you put the dog on your lap and call your other dog toward you. If the smaller dog growls or lunges, this is called lap-guarding and can often lead to other guarding issues. This is a behavior that needs to be managed.
Perfection! I couldn’t believe it when I found this original jacket and hat set for my pooch to wear when we go boating in the warm weather. It’s never too early to get his outfits lined up! This site has the most original dog outfits, and the best news is they are really affordable.
