It’s a horrible thought that your dog could become lost, but it can happen to any owner. With a dog ID tag, if your pup is found by another person, or even the dog catcher, you won’t have to worry about them not knowing who the dog belongs to. Dogs without ID tags are often never found because there are so many animal shelters, and dogs can wander for significant distances. You also never know if a kind passerby will pick them up and take them to an animal shelter on the other side of town, or even in a different town.
